Patent Box – reduce corporation tax on profits from innovation
The UK’s Patent Box regime allows companies to apply a reduced 10% rate of Corporation Tax to profits earned from patented inventions. If your business holds or exclusively licenses patents granted by the UK Intellectual Property Office, the European Patent Office or certain other EEA countries, you could significantly cut your tax bill.
Our expertise includes:
- Patent Box tax relief – apply a lower 10% Corporation Tax rate on profits from qualifying UK, EPO or EEA patents.
- Eligibility review – confirm if your company qualifies and advise on electing into the scheme.
- Profit analysis – identify and stream relevant IP-related income - from products, licensing, infringement and more.
- Development Nexus computation – link R&D investments to your IP to accurately calculate the deductible proportion.
- Claim preparation – support in structuring, electing, and documenting your Patent Box submission.
We help you navigate this complex regime, combining technical insight with IP strategy to make your innovation count.
