Financial Audit Services for UK Businesses

ICAEW-registered experts delivering financial audit services for UK businesses. Statutory and voluntary audits for SMEs, charities, FCA-regulated firms and more.

Comprehensive Financial Audit Services

At Streets Audit LLP, we deliver thorough, efficient, and reliable financial audit services to businesses across the UK. Whether statutory or voluntary, our audits ensure transparency, compliance, and stakeholder confidence.

As ICAEW-registered auditors, we support SMEs, charities, FCA-regulated firms, and large corporate groups with tailored financial audits aligned to your reporting obligations and sector-specific risks.

Who Requires a Financial Audit?

From 6th April 2025, UK companies must undergo a statutory financial audit if they meet two or more of the following thresholds:

  • Annual turnover of £15 million or more
  • Gross assets exceeding £7.5 million
  • More than 50 employees
  • You may also require a financial audit if your business is part of a wider group, or due to regulatory, grant or investor requirements. Charities and not-for-profits typically have lower audit thresholds.

Even if not mandatory, a voluntary financial audit strengthens governance, enhances credibility, and provides reassurance to banks, investors and stakeholders.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a financial audit report?

A financial audit report is the formal document issued after an independent auditor reviews your financial statements. It confirms whether your accounts present a fair and accurate view of your business’s financial position in line with UK accounting standards.
A financial audit provides assurance to stakeholders, helps maintain compliance, supports funding efforts, and can uncover areas for operational or tax improvement. It’s not just about compliance — it adds strategic value.
A financial audit evaluates a business’s financial records and statements, whereas an academic audit assesses teaching quality, learning outcomes, and institutional performance in education settings. The former is regulatory; the latter is internal quality assurance.
We follow a structured process including risk assessment, internal control review, analytical procedures, testing, and final reporting. The audit ensures accuracy, compliance, and clarity for stakeholders.

If you’re a financial services firm (e.g. FCA-regulated), you face strict compliance obligations. A tailored financial services audit ensures regulatory accuracy, builds trust with clients, and protects your licence to operate.

Streets offers regulated firms partner-led audits, deep sector knowledge, and experience across FCA, SRA and other compliance frameworks. Our proactive, risk-aware audits keep you protected and confident.
