Dan Insley
Partner, Streets Whittles BA, FCA, CTA
Dan is a partner with Streets Whittles and works from the firm’s Colchester and Mersea offices. He joined the firm in 2012 and was promoted to partner in July 2021. Dan graduated from the University of Sheffield with a dual honours degree in Accounting and Financial Management and Mathematics. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2015 and became a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 2021.Dan’s broad-based experience covers both the audit and accounts team as well as the personal tax department.
He has particular experience in Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) audits, FCA client money audits, charity audits and independent examinations. He also specialises in personal tax and corporate tax with a particular focus on owner managed and family businesses.
Since 2019, Dan has been an active member of Colchester Round Table 367 which aims to raise money for needy causes in and around Colchester. Its largest fundraiser is the annual Santa Sleigh event. Dan was elected Treasurer in 2021.
He is a Tendring Hundred Farmers’ Club Vice President.
